Is ‘Titanic 2: The Return of Jack’ a Real Movie? Jarod Layliev In November 2019, a video purportedly showing a trailer for "Titanic 2: The Return of Jack," a 2020 sequel to the film "Titanic," went popular on social media. The sequel to the film "Titanic" will not be released in 2020. VJ4rawr2 of YouTube developed this movie trailer, which was posted on October 18, 2019. These videos are often created by splicing together existing footage of the performers from unrelated films to create a new narrative. This movie trailer was put together using existing material from Leonardo DiCaprio's "The Beach" and Kate Winslet's "Revolutionary Road." The thing I noticed that shows that this story was false was how long it has been since the first movie. While some movies have had this happen, none have ever had this big of a gap between them. The only way a sequel would be made is if Jack was found to have survived, which is very unlikely. This brings me to my second reason; the first movie was based on a real event, so making a sequel based on fake events wouldn’t be a very good one. By looking at original sources and true sources that a story is based on, I would be able to test truthfulness about other stories using this kind of evidence. Citations: Evon, D.
