Background of the group Dagtang Lason Daniel Darz authored the song's lyrics entitled “Nagmahal ako ng Bakla”. He is a member of the group Dagtang Lason and wrote a song based on the experience of a buddy of his. The song's plot is about a man who was dumped by his girlfriend and decided to fall in love with a gay man instead. Gays are everywhere anyway. Dagtang Lason is a rapper band group in the Philippines. The group is composed of three members named Buhawi (not Buhawi Menesis of Parokya Ni Edgar), Kadena and Marbaggs from Olongapo City.

Analysis The song began when the author/singers told the story of a man who decided to fall in love with a gay after his girlfriend abandoned him. The man in the song describes his feelings toward gay guy, which is great and comforting. The story continues as the man in the song expresses his heartbreak since he thought his efforts in his relationship with his girlfriend is going well but had faded away eventually. Only to find out that she had dumped him. The man further stated that women are gold diggers who are just interested in money of men. As a result, the man concluded that he would rather be gay than with women, despite the fact that they are different from women. He believes that gay loving is superior to female attachment. Resentment is the reason why the man chose to fall in love with a gay. Even though the gay is ugly, he chose him since he understands that he has no share in the love of a gay. The man also aware that he can ’t have a child with a gay. He also mentioned that he is astonished because a gay's entire life has been devoted to him just to make sure that he will stay. The man accepts the gay and trusts must be true. The man mentioned that he would love a gay for the rest oh his life. He is willing to devote his time to a gay since he enjoys the enjoyment and laughter that a gay brings. At the end of the song, the man encourages all his fellows who have failed in relationships with ladies to love a gay because they are everywhere.

It is nice to see straight guys (or at least guys presenting themselves as straight) not being afraid to touch one another (Wirt, 2011).
