Proud to be an American I'm proud to be an American because we have freedoms and Abilities that most other nations do not have. We have freedoms such as freedom of speech and abilities such as the ability to vote and get any job not depending on your race or skin tone. I'm proud to be an American because of our freedoms and abilities. Let’s take freedom of speech for an example. In other nations across the world you would not be able to freely speak without being arrested for saying the wrong thing. In America you are able to express yourself in any way with your voice. Another freedom we have is freedom of religion. Nations in the Middle East force religion upon their people. In the US you can believe whoever you want. Another reason why I’m proud to be an American is because of our rights. As Americans we have the right to vote. This means that when we have an election, no matter your race, you are able to vote for who you think would be better off leading the country. In Russia, most people don’t even have the right to vote, and even if they can vote… most of the time there is only one name on the ballot and you must vote for him. In the U.S. you also have the right to work anywhere you would like and the ability to buy almost anything you would want ( within reason ). In North Korea, Men have only 7 haircuts that they can get, and if you don’t have the right haircut you could be executed. YES, I Know that is insane, and that’s also a reason why you should be proud to be an american. Another reason why you should be proud to be an american is because of women's rights. In the United States women have the right to vote, they can

show their faces, and even can run for public office. In the middle east as a woman you would be lucky to be able to show your ankles. Women in the Middle East are even beaten and are not able to show any part of their body. Women can’t even drive in most of the countries in the middle east. So basically what I am saying is… You are so lucky to be an american… and that’s why you should be proud to be one. In Conclusion, there are so many different freedoms and abilities and rights that we have as americans. Most of the freedoms we have here, would not be a freedom in the middle east. So after all that talk, you should truly be proud to be an american....
