“You’re Not Writing A Pro/Con Paper” Don’t care about pros and cons You don’t need to research the topic to prove whether vaccines are good or bad or capital punishment is effective or that abortion is legal or not. That’s not your job Your job is to find groups of sources on different sides of the debate and analyze how they *argue*, where they *agree* and *disagree* with each other. What sorts of *arguments* do they make? What do they *base* those arguments on? Where are they coming from? You don’t need to do “research” with numbers. You need to study people and their opinions.
