Social Limitations:

-

African Americans had a very hard time finding jobs, especially not for equal pay. They were limited from going to certain places to avoid getting arrested, and a lot of places they were just not welcome. Unlike white citizens they could not get high class jobs. This did not only limit adults it effect children as well. African American children were not allowed to attend the same schools as the white children. As you can tell African Americans had it very rough in the 1800s. Jim crow is an example of discrimination toward the African American community.

Economic Limitations: -

Even after slavery was abolished African Americans had limited freedom. African Americans did not know where to go after the civil war, especially knowing how hated they were in the south. Most traveled faraway but some stayed and did hard labor, because they had no one to go see and no where they could go. Not everyone was able to purchase their own land. An example of limitation is the black code law, this law forced African Americans to work very hard and maintain a cheap source of farm labor.

Political Limitation:

- African Americans were not allowed to express there political views . The “Klu Klux Klan” was a group that was very against African Americans. They intimidated the voters, burned down schools, and burned down houses of white citizens who supported the African Americans. Politicians who were against the African Americans would make literacy test and poll taxes in order for them to not be able to vote....
