Acknowledgement: Project Description: “Energy-Shifter” is our project topic this semester. We were supposed to form a group and work on our group tasks to create and develop a prototype which would help to get user’s point of view when tested. I am one of the members of group who would try and make others task easy and acceptable at the same time. Preparation: Mutual decision was made on this as every member of our group had to go through the tasks before the group meetings, which eventually helped us to save out time which was later utilized on the discussion and work instead. Communication: Trello account was created and maintained to assign and develop tasks. Other than that WhatsApp was the source to discuss and finalize group meetings and timings, kept other than Monday’s and Thursday’s. Tasks: My group members made sure about the due dates and respond back to the messages. Most of the work for the tasks was done at the same time, mainly discussion. Only some documentation which was

supposed to be done by an individual was done later and uploaded it on the google drive. Shreeya as a Group leader took an initiative to go through it once before submitting it on the doubtfire and assign points as required. Group Work Strategies & Roles Contributed: Like any other, strategy for the project is important. For us, we were not mainly focused on the strategy but the work being done in a correct manner and on time. Group roles were divided as Leader, Editor, Organizer and Harmoniser, which were Shreeya, Me, Mutita and Shavez respectively. Tasks according to them were categorized. I would now also discuss about the actual role my team members contributed in. The Most important thing I learnt: To be a part of team. There was time where I was stuck with all of my three units, when I was not able to keep up with my words, which is when Shreeya helped me out with my part, just because of my effective communication skills, I was able to stay in touch with my team. It is important to be a part of it as it helps all our group members to work on a project effectively. The things that helped me most were:

Communication. Group work is not everyone’s cup of tea. Same goes for Shavez. He tried his best to be a part of group but at the end, he messed up with communication. He did not reply to few of our texts regarding his task for a week, at the end which were done by three of us. He did come with by saying that he was sick. No wonder he did contribute a bit later. I found the following topics and/or activities particularly challenging: Doubtfire and Usability Lab Tests: Doubtfire is a bit tricky. I did have a basic idea of it, but din expect this complicated this semester. I’m doing UCD for the second time. Its tricky because of C & D tasks. Doubtfire showed different deadlines as compared to Canvas which made submissions late and complicated. I wish if there was some common thing. Usability Lab Tests: It was a bit difficult to finalize which questions would make the task effective and would also help us to improve our prototype accordingly through demographic questions. To use, it was not as complicated as it seemed to be. Thanks to the tutorial and explanations before.

I found the following topics and/or activities particularly interesting: Prototype Designing: Designing seemed to be complicated to me first, but once I started, it was great. Getting new tools for it, letting myself try every website for the prototype, selecting one out of three designs and trying to make it user friendly....
