IT 200 System Specifications Template Client: Gamer (Semi Budget/Enthusiast) System Components: [Using information from Newegg, Micro Venter, or another website or source, complete the table below for all computer system components.] Component

CPU: Intel Core i79700K 3.6 GHz 8 Core Processor

Price

$299.99 (Amazon)

Rationale (Include a source URL or citation.)

Depending on which games you play, whether its demanding on your CPU or not, I personally believe it’s best to try to futureproof your build as much as possible for your budget. For a slight enthusiast build like this one, I thought it was a good idea to find the highest clock speed with a fairly high amount of cores in it for under $300. I prefer Intel over AMD so a 9th Gen i7 was a no brainer. https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-9700K-Desktop-ProcessorUnlocked/dp/B07HHN6KBZ/ref=sr_1_1? dchild=1&keywords=Intel+Core+i79700K+Desktop+Processor+8+Cores+up+to+4.9+GHz+Turbo+un locked+LGA1151+300+Series+95W&qid=1599780566&s=electr onics&sr=1-1

CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition

$39.99 (Amazon)

To combat your CPU from getting too hot while gaming, getting a quality CPU fan is very important and affects those long term gaming sessions. Without one, your CPU would overheat and your system would either crash because of the heat or it would run very poorly because of the heat. https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-RR-212S-20PK-R1Contact-Silencio/dp/B07H25DYM3/ref=sr_1_1_sspa? dchild=1&keywords=Cooler+Master+Hyper+212+Black+Edition &qid=1599780680&s=electronics&sr=1-1spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFPTEo4 SVlCSlE4ODAmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA4NTY0MjUyR1A5Nk9L MFJCMkU1JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxOTc0MjAySVpCMU1B QUdKVTNKJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1Jl ZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Component Motherboard: MSI Z390-A Pro ATX

Price $129.99 (Amazon)

Rationale (Include a source URL or citation.) While keeping the CPU of the client in mind, I would choose a motherboard that supports newer generations of CPUs while also making sure that the CPU and motherboard are the same socket. In this case it’s an LGA1151 socket board. https://www.amazon.com/MSI-PRO-LGA1151-GigabitMotherboard/dp/B07J6Z9KJ2/ref=sr_1_1? crid=35IWYLX7JKDFU&dchild=1&keywords=msi+z390a+pro+atx+lga1151+motherboard&qid=1599780769&s=electro nics&sprefix=msi+z3%2Celectronics%2C152&sr=1-1

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RBG Pro 32 GB DDR4 (2x16)

$134.99 (Amazon)

Corsair is more known for their peripherals such as their headphones or mice, but their RAM is also as good as their other products. While keeping my client’s gaming habits in mind, I’d go for a double pack of 16GB sticks of RAM. This will assure no FPS drops while the client has multiple tabs open in chrome, while also listening to Spotify or iTunes while they are gaming. https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-CMW32GX4M2C3200C16Vengeance-PC4-25600-Desktop/dp/B07GTG2T7L/ref=sr_1_1? dchild=1&keywords=corsair+vengeance+rgb+pro+32gb&qid=1 599780854&sr=8-1

Storage: Samsung 870 Qvo 1TB SSD

$119.99 (Amazon)

Sticking to the future-proofing method of building a computer system, a Solid State Drive is the way to go. It has no moving parts and is much faster than a traditional HDD. It’s lighter, too! https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-Internal-Version-MZ77Q1T0B-AM/dp/B089C73T72/ref=sr_1_4? crid=IMOUJKJC0IOH&dchild=1&keywords=samsung+860+evo+ 1tb&qid=1599781247&s=electronics&sprefix=samsung+860%2 Celectronics%2C159&sr=1-4

Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB

$299.99 (Amazon)

When you’re building a computer system, you never want to bottle neck it by getting a cheap graphics card. Doing so causes everything else to perform poorly and the games you’re looking to play will not be playable. The EVGA GeForce 1660 Ti is a powerful, dual fanned graphics card that delivers beautiful, ultra detailed graphics while maintaining a high framerate. https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Ultra-Gaming-06GP4-1667-KR/dp/B07RJGK1PW/ref=sr_1_1? dchild=1&keywords=evga+geforce+gtx+1660+ti+6gb+sc+ultra+ gaming+video+card&qid=1599781453&s=electronics&sr=1-1

Component Case: Thermaltake Core X71 (Full ATX)

Price $129.99 (Amazon)

Rationale (Include a source URL or citation.) The Thermaltake Core X71 is a full ATX tower that provides loads of space for all of your components. A case of this size is generally required for bigger graphics cards such as the 1660 in this build. It includes a lower chamber where you can install 3 120mm or 144mm case fans, as bays behind the fans for additional HDD/SSDs. https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Tempered-CertifiedComputer-CA-1F8-00M1WN-02/dp/B01N4R021Q/ref=sr_1_1? dchild=1&keywords=Thermaltake+Core+X71+ATX+Full+Tower+ Case&qid=1599781500&s=electronics&sr=1-1

Power Supply: Corsair RM750 – 750 Watt

$124.99 (Corsair)

The Corsair RM750 provides a 750 watt power supply. The higher power usage your gaming components require, the higher wattage the power supply needs to be. Without enough wattage in the power supply, your system wouldn’t turn on at all. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/PowerSupply-Units/Power-Supply-Units-Advanced/RM-Series %E2%84%A2-80-PLUS-Gold-Power-Supplies/p/CP-9020195-NA

OS: Microsoft 10 Home (64 bit)

$109.99 (Newegg)

To me, this is a no brainer. It was only up until recently that most video games started adding support for Macs, but Windows has been there the entire step of the way. I’d choose Windows 10 Home (64 bit) by a long shot. It’s easy to use and there are loads of videos pertaining to problems/fixes and general tutorial style videos for Windows. I highly recommend it to any one, whether new to computer systems or a veteran.

Component Anti-Virus: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 3.0

Price $34.99 (Newegg)

Rationale (Include a source URL or citation.) MalwareBytes. By far. This program has been the ONLY virus protection I’ve ever kept on my computer and there are many reasons for that. Whether it’s the ease of use, or its how lightweight it is, it’s a must. You actually don’t need to pay anything for it as the free version is great, however, I believe in supporting companies that make a difference in my life so an extra $35 isn’t going to break the bank, especially for this.

$39.99 x2 (Amazon)

For your additional cooling needs, Corsair has great multi-packs of case fans that are generally cheap (compared to other brands). They help keep everything cool and provide a great air flow. With this case, there’s a lot of open slots for adding case fans. However, the case comes with three already built in, so buying 2 three packs (6 case fans, 3 top 3 bottom) and installing them into the case will give you incredible airflow. They’re also very quiet and aesthetically pleasing. https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-AF120-Noise-CoolingTriple/dp/B07KGYG8N7/ref=sr_1_2? dchild=1&keywords=120mm+case+fan+3+pack&qid=15997819 03&refinements=p_89%3ACorsair&rnid=2528832011&s=electr onics&sr=1-2

Monitor: Samsung CF398 27” Curved

$199.99 (Walmart)

When I hear the name Samsung, I immediately associate it with the upper echelon of electronics. I’ve always had Samsung displays and I’ve never regretted it, and neither will any one that would purchase this. It’s curved design makes gaming for hours upon hours very easy on your eyes, adds a bit of immersion into the game you are playing and also has a great modern look to it! It also includes “Eye saver mode” which reduces blue light out of the monitor. No more “gamer eyes”! https://www.walmart.com/ip/SAMSUNG-27-Class-CF398Curved-1920-x-1080-LED-MonitorLC27F398FWNXZA/142322711

Component Keyboard: Corsair K95

Price $184.99 (Amazon)

Rationale (Include a source URL or citation.) The Corsair K95 is a great keyboard for gaming as it features mechanical keys that reduce the amount of time between a keystroke and it actually registering to the computer. It also includes RGB lighting so playing at night is a breeze. https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-PLATINUM-MechanicalGaming-Keyboard/dp/B01MU3R9VM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa? dchild=1&keywords=corsair+k95&qid=1599782148&s=electron ics&sr=1-1spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFMM0 9PSVBRVkUxUzYmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA0NzIxMzQyS0FTW DVEQUU1MVdXJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAwMzgyNjUzMzhV VUFQWFJJN0IxJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlj a1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Mouse: Razer Naga Trinity

$74.00 (Amazon)

Whether you’re playing FPS or an MMO, a Razer Naga Trinity should be high on the list of any ones’ wishlist. It includes an interchangeable side panel that allows you to add or reduce the amount of buttons you want to be visible and usable near your thumb. It’s high DPI makes it smooth and accurate. https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Naga-Trinity-OpticalInterchangeable/dp/B0788MCRGC/ref=sr_1_2? dchild=1&keywords=razer+naga+trinity&qid=1599782219&s=e lectronics&sr=1-2

Headset: Corsair Void RGB Elite 7.1

$99.99 (Amazon)

To top it all off, you’ll need a headset that sounds great, is lightweight and won’t keep you tied up. The Corsair Void Elite is a great choice for those very reasons. Gaming for hours on end with a bulky headset is horrible as it puts strain on your neck and can give you a headache. They’re wireless so even when you have to go AFK, you’ll still be able to communicate with your team in any situation. https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Wireless-PremiumHeadset-Surround/dp/B07X8SJ8HM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa? dchild=1&keywords=corsair+void&qid=1599782306&s=electro nics&sr=1-1spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyQjM yOVk1V1MxUkQxJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDM1MzEyVEJOQV pMUUVWQkNIJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA2NDE5MDRJUzlTR TNDN1pJMEkmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNs aWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
