COURSE DESCRIPTION This course covers the design, implementation, and application of logistics software systems utilized by businesses to improve visibility, accountability, and capabilities of their logistics processes. Emphasis is placed on an in-depth understanding of logistical software applications, optimization models, automated data collection, electronic data interchange, and other logistics software tools. Upon completion, students should be able to identify the various logistics software applications and explain how they are utilized to improve business and logistics processes.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES The intent of this course is to familiarize students with the functions of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system used in most large organizations. Although there are many ERP software packages available today, understanding the

dynamics of how, what, when, and where this data is compiled and used are similar in all ERP systems. STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Upon completion students should be able to: 1. Navigate through the business modules contained in SAP S/4HANA 2. Understand the impact of SAP S/4HANA on business processes 3. Perform basic business functions within SAP S/4HANA

FIRST OFFENSE: Instructors suspecting an academic integrity violation will initiate a discussion with the student to further evaluate the potential occurrence(s) and clarify the academic integrity policy with said student. Students are strongly encouraged to keep all copies of work, including drafts, in their original format in order to preserve the originality of the documents, such as electronic time stamps. If the instructor determines that no violation took place, the student will be thoroughly debriefed and the matter will be closed with no further action necessary. Should a breech in academic conduct be evident, the instructor will enact formal procedures. The following penalties for a first offense will be enacted:  



The loss of a grade on that assignment or test. If the offence is deemed severe, loss of credit in that class with the grade of “F” for the course and a loss of rights to attend remaining class sections. In addition, the Dean of Students shall be given written notice of any academic penalty. Student will receive written notification and may be requested to meet with the instructor.

SECOND OFFENSE: A second offense may occur in one of two ways:  

Within the same course after receiving written notification from the instructor of that course. If evidence presents itself that an academic integrity violation occurred in another course and the student received written notification regarding academic integrity policies, that behavior will be considered a second violation.

The following policies for a second offense will be enacted: The loss of credit in that class with a grade of “F” for the course and a loss of rights to attend remaining class sections. The Dean of Students shall be given written notice of any academic penalty.

ATTENDANCE POLICY It is the student’s responsibility to abide by the Wake Tech Attendance Policy (opens in new window) Wake Technical Community College has an attendance requirement of 90%. The policy states “Students are expected to be in attendance at least 90% of all scheduled class hours. If the student misses more than 10% of the scheduled classes, it is the instructor’s option to withdraw the student from the class OR drop the student one grade level (for example, an average of an “A” would become a “B”. INDIVIDUAL ATTENDANCE AND LATE POLICY HERE This course has a 90% attendance policy. You must not miss more than 10% of class during the semester without violating the attendance policy. Missing over the allowed absence limit will put you at risk of being withdrawn from the course for violation of the attendance policy. This online course will take attendance weekly. Attendance is based on submitting an assignment by the due date stated on the course schedule. The number of allowed absences can be calculated by multiplying 10% by the number of scheduled assignments. Please refer to your Blackboard course for the course specific attendance policy located under Course Resources.

Violation of the attendance policy will put you at risk of being withdrawn from the course. You can petition the instructor for reinstatement. Reinstatement is at the discretion of the instructor. You must complete the Course Entry Quiz in Blackboard by the 10% point or you will be dropped from the course and will not be eligible for reinstatement. You should contact the instructor as soon as you know that you will miss an assignment. The deadlines on the schedule are firm. You are welcome to work ahead to avoid any unforeseen absences. INCOMPLETES Incomplete grades will be given only in the event of extraordinary circumstances. Incompletes are customarily granted when a student has completed most of the course but is unable to complete the remainder of the course due to extraordinary circumstances.
