1 Innocence Lost (Child Neglect Documentary) Introduction This film that was documented by FRONTLINE addressing disturbing issues in the society. Its story revolves around the Edenton town in North California. A nearby centre had a number of arrested people due to child sexual assault and abuse including rape and sodomy. Adults interacted sexually in front of the children something that gave them an incentive to have intercourse among themselves. They could photograph the hideous incidents and even expose their nudities as the children watched. Ofra Bickel felt disturbed and decided to address the very issue in a manner that she was best in. Being a producer, he and Frontline then produced a documentary covering the whoe story. The story began with an innocent girl, Betsy Kelly, born of a wealthy business man, Warren Twinddy. Her father saw to it that his little angel had all that she needed. She grew and got married to Bob Kelly. With time, her father decided to renovate a bottling plant to allow his daughter and her husband to relocate their investment, ‘Little Rascals Day care’. Hell broke loose when one of the parents began noticing uncouth behavior in her son, one that suggested sodomy. This revealed the misdoings hidden in the little school where the boy studied. Following the parents complains investigations with the FRONTLINE involved were always documented in the film. Behavior is learnt from observation and interaction. The children’s morals got eroded gradually as they interacted in the school. Documentation of the investigations, arrests, and prosecutions was a positive step that called the society to fight child neglect and embrace proper morals....
