Description

HMN 101 (Art Appreciation) Assessment Task: Week 14

if you will be given a challenge to go out of your comfort zone, with the variety of art styles that emerged in different periods/movements, which will you choose as a challenge to make an art output.

Expound your answer. Answer in detail1.The Art Style chosen – (Example: Art Nouveau) The art Style that is chosen is Post-Impressionism

2.Explain your own reason/s why you choose such style in consonance with those artworks under the specific period from which it emerged. The reason why I chosen post- Impressionism art is because being artists I utilize vibrant colors, thick paint applications, and realistic subject matter, but I tended to highlight geometric forms, deform forms for expressive purpose, and utilize odd and seemingly random colors that I want.

3. How will you develop the style you have chosen?

By making any painting that I want to express that show the abstract patterns, geometrical shapes and more. Like for example this picture that I saw in google. This is the example of post-impression.

4. How does this challenge help you be geared towards the direction of art appreciation?

This challenge helps me to appreciate and love the beauty of an artwork. Because post- Impressionism art distinguished by a subjective approach to painting, with painters preferring to elicit emotion over reality in their work. Being an artist I continued to employ vibrant colors, a thick application of paint, and real-life subject matter, but it was more prone to highlight geometric forms, deform forms for an emotive impact, and employ unnatural and seemingly random colors....
