The artifact that I have selected is the Rosa Parks statue located in the Nations Capital; Washington D.C. Rosa Parks was an American activist in the civil rights movement known for her role in the Montgomery bus boycott. I believe this artifact embodies or refers to ethical values and has valuable ethical connections. The statue stands for not only the morals and ethics relating to discrimination but also the value of life and equality for all people. Rosa is most known for being arrested when she refused to give up her seat to a white man on the bus. Alabama law required that when the bus was full that all black people give up there seat to any white passenger and have to stand. Rosa may have stayed in her seat but she also took a stand for not only her ethics but also the ethics of all black people across the nation. Her action inspired other leaders within the black community to organize the Montgomery Bus Boycott....
