A Slap in the Face of Public taste Annotations: Summary: The authors are Russian poets, he genre is futurism which is a genre where the “futurist” created a language where they made words sound very important by separating words from their meanings. Futurism is a revolt from symbolism. This poem calls the past and the tradition of symbolism beneath them and makes fun or speaks badly of the previous use of language when it comes to writing. Maxim Gorky: Russian and soviet writer, founder of social realism literary method Vladimir Krupin: Soviet Russian writer, editor, religious author and tutor. Remizovs: Russian modernist writers, had a very creative imagination sometimes called fantastic or bizarre....
