The essential irrational attitude and beliefs depicted in “What about Bob?” With Bill Murray are panic disorder, various phobias such as agoraphobia, hypochondria, and obsessivecompulsive disorder. He also depicts himself as an extremely dependent personality. The American black comedy portrays Murray as Bob acting as an irritating patient who is always after his psychiatrist Dr. Leo Marvin. Acute separation anxiety and extreme need for family connections is a precise depiction of irrational attitude and beliefs showcased by Bill Murray. Bob portrays anxiety and multi phobias through various scenarios in the comedy film. Murray, who is depicted as Bob Wiley, is considered an irritating patient who is always after his doctor Dr. Leo Marvin while he is on vacation. Bob gets along with other family members to the doctor (Canada, 2019). He portrays excellent work ethics and handles everyone properly, although he is a victim of various phobias. Bob Wiley was divorced since his ex-wife is in love with Neli Diamond. He made minimal progress after numerous therapies. This forced his current therapist to refer him to the egocentric Dr. Marvin. Bob Wiley is a neurotic and a manipulative individual who has the trait of sticking to his therapists. The therapist deciding to go and spent life with his family results in despair to Bob. The intrusive nature of Bob makes Dr. Marvin to be depicted as a mean person. Bob develops into becoming a mean person to Dr. Marvin while he enjoys the support of other family members due to their perspective that Bob is humorous and can easily manipulate people surrounding him. The movie however ends with the audience being left in suspicion. The result of Bob and Leo's relationship is not precisely illustrated. However, considering past events, the relationship stands high chances of being a chaotic one. Generally, Bob is a good-natured man with a spirit

ANXIETY AND PHOBIAS 3 that loves work ethics. The phobias make him not to blend well with the rest of the society in an appropriate manner. His therapist also does not show any sign of reassurance to Bob that he is getting well. Stress and anxiety are a common element to many people worldwide. The primary difference between stress and anxiety is that anxiety is a response to stress, whereas stress is a response to a particular threat in a situation. Various people have witnessed stress interfering massively with their personal lives. Other advanced types of stress, such as chronic stress, can result in health issues, headaches, high blood pressure, and chest pains. As a result, there tends to be a feeling of fear or being uneasy. This reaction to stress is depicted as anxiety. Significantly, anxiety occurs to individuals who are not in a position to acknowledge stressors in their life.
