Description

ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY All students must be made to learn a foreign language? The World of Multilingual Short Argumentative Essay We live in a multilingual society that is becoming increasingly globalized, therefore knowing more than one language is essential. There are three primary reasons for this: learning another language can help you advance in your job, it can help you become more conscious of various cultures, and it can help us better grasp and know our own language. More and more job adverts are now stating that they require second, third, and even fourth languages, and knowing more than one language expands your options significantly. Furthermore, as more businesses begin to trade worldwide, workers are frequently hired for jobs that do not require language abilities, only to be asked to relocate abroad or offered a promotion that does. As a result, it aids in career advancement. Some argue that there are lots of alternative occupations available, but with the global recession and more countries becoming international, this is simply no longer the true. The second benefit for knowing multiple languages is that it broadens your cultural knowledge and allows you to communicate with a wider range of people. All good language learning methods include learning about another culture as well, especially as your language skills advance. Because of the large levels of immigration, this awareness allows individuals of all countries and beliefs to get along better with one another. Many countries with large immigration rates struggle with integration, which is generally due to a language barrier, leading to people being segregated and remaining in neighborhoods where their native language is spoken. Even individuals who claim they are uninterested in meeting people from different cultures will have noticed these issues and should recognize the value of learning various languages. Finally, people should acquire multiple languages to aid in their mastery of their native tongue and because it has been demonstrated to be beneficial to the brain. Some people feel that knowing additional languages leads to confusion, however this is simply not true, save from the occasional misspelling. When you acquire a new language, you must learn the grammar from the ground up, and as a result, you will have a much more in-depth understanding of grammar in general than people who only speak one language. Furthermore, learning one language with comparable roots can assist you in learning the others (take French, Spanish and Italian, for example). Overall, there is no doubting that studying languages is beneficial to both individuals and society, and that knowing multiple languages is essential. The world would be a better and more successful place if more people spoke multiple languages....
