As indicated by ongoing measurements from the Ministry of Justice and Freedoms, Moroccans are currently walking out on polygamy. Polygamous social associations went from 0.35% in 2011 to 0.26% in 2012 accomplishing 0.25% in 2013, or 787 relational unions expended against 806 out of 2012 ("Wedding Tents Less and less Moroccans"). This proves polygamy is still a way or part of Moroccan culture. It is not just an expression of a way of life peculiar to certain cultures and eras, it exists today and everywhere in the world even if it is not officially recognized and culturally accepted. In fact, because Islam allows polygamy, some people claim that there is no shame is discussing it. However, the majority of us believe that polygamy should be avoided because it is a form of oppression, men cannot make a living for many families in the same time due to the financial conditions that we are living in these years and they cannot be equal and fair in their love for the women and their children. People who are for polygamy have their different reasons that are classified into three categories. First, there is no shame in discussing polygamy because Islam allows it and one wife is not enough for men. They claim that no woman is perfect and what they could not find in one will be found in another. Therefore, they satisfy their desire through polygamy, not illegal relationships. Also, polygamy is a solution for the spinsterhood. Since the spinsterhood is an important problem in our society, this few minorities see that polygamy is the ideal solution to solve it. Even if the woman will be the second wife or whatever, it will be too much better for her rather than staying without a legal marriage to protect her from people

In addition to these two points, Polygamy is a social solution for Divorced and widowed to live in society and give them another chance with their kids to enjoy the familial life again. Divorced women and widows live in many social conditions and problems. They are the most vulnerable to sexual harassment and an insurmountable social injustice. Polygamy for this category of women with young children is a solution to help them find a decent life and build a new family again. The first reason to be against polygamy is the fact that it is considered as a form of modern oppression by the majority of people in our society. In other words, polygamy is a return to the age of slavery and underdevelopment and the transformation of women into slaves, but in a legal framework. Men sexually exploits more than a woman and deprives them of their freedom And then ladies only choice is to satisfy desires and sexual whims without considering the emotional and human aspect of women. This analogy to modern oppression is particularly relevant in polygynous families where women and girls are restricted to stereotypical roles of service and reproduction. This type of men do not believe in the ability of a woman's mind. Polygamy institutionalizes gender inequality, sustains the subordination of ladies and denies their entitlement to human pride ("No to Polygamy"). Second, men in general cannot make a living for many families in the same time due to the financial conditions that we are living in these years. Nevertheless, a number of people exaggerate and misuse polygamy by marrying multiple partners without having the means to support a single household. In addition, they are generally unable to be fair to wives or even their children. Moreover, they sometimes resort to credits which makes their existence like a hell (Echchorfi). of our community nature, if a man gets married with a second woman, who will be blamed is his wife. To explain, people will say that she does not satisfy him that much. Without any doubt, Polygamy is allowed in Islam. But, some men are just playing with what god said. They are not really in the need of getting a second wife. They consider it fashionable and they share it with others with a happy face. Well, these type of men did not think how is the situation in which these four women are living, their rights and their duties. Third, equality is a requirement for polygamy in Islam. According to the Qur’an, “And you will never be able to be equal between wives, even if you should strive. So do not incline completely and leave another hanging. And if you amend and fear Allah - then indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful” (4:129). But, in the current society, the psychological and physical stress that people have in their daily working life will be a barrier to manage time between these women and their children. Men cannot be equal and fair in their love for them. Love is the basis of every marriage relationship. From the emotional side, it is impossible for two people to live inside one heart. To explain, the one has to consider his situation and that he needs to build another new home. Those who suffer from the consequences of polygamy are children. They have no fault in what adults do. The woman will absolutely wonder what she did not do for him to go for another woman. As a result, this will create hatred and jealousy between women and children. The woman likes to have a husband only for her. So, if God offers the man a good wife to raise his children, why would he resort to another wife? The man must be conscientious. Only one woman is enough for a man in everything. If he seeks help or need advice, she will always be there for him. Some people think that polygamy is a good idea, others think that it is not. The few minority of people guarantee that polygamy is great and there is no problem in discussing it since Islam allows it, it is an answer for the spinsterhood and it is a social answer for Divorced and bereaved to live in the public arena and give them another possibility with their

children to appreciate the familial life once more. But, many of us trust that is a type of oppression, men can't make a living for many families because of the budgetary conditions that we are living in these years and they can't be equal and reasonable in their affection for the ladies and their youngsters. Behind every great man is a woman. Ladies are lighter than water, but heavier than mountains. They are lighter than water for those who know how to exploit and deal with them and heavier and stronger than mountains for those who treat them the wrong way. To close, as long as the man is comfortable in his house with his wife, there will be no excuses for him to get married again.
