I chose the Alienware Aurora R5 desktop for Adam because with 16GB of RAM, he will have plenty of space to multitask at a fast and effective rate without ever having to worry if the computer will slow down because his operating system won't have to depend on the hard drive to work. Since Adam is a big gamer, he will especially enjoy this sleek and powerful desktop that will dive you straight into the center of the game with its virtual reality NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics. The Aurora R5 can fit 2 300W graphic cards (600W total enhancing your gaming experience by increasing the frame rates. This desktop also includes an Intell Core i7 (quad core processor) which is great for 3D gaming and running several programs simultaneously very quick. I decided to go with the ASUS MG248Q widescreen monitor because with a 24" screen, a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time it gives you an exceptional gaming experience as well as increase your level of productivity. After being on your computer for numerous hours at a time, the built in ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light technology will help protect your eyes by reducing the amount of blue light being absorbed. This monitor also offers built in speakers (2x2 watts RMS), a display port & HDMI cables as well as an adjustable stand.

I chose the XPS 13 2-in-1 for Brittany because it is a very sleek, lightweight and efficient laptop. You can use the hinges along the side of the laptop to strike all sorts of

poses. Whether you are flicking through a flip board in tablet mode, giving a presentation to your classmates in stand mode, or binge watching videos and movies online in tent mode this laptop can be used in many different ways when you are at home or away. With an option of both HD (1920x1080) and QHD (3200x1800) resolution, images and details are extremely sharp and crisp. They are also selling an active pen that allows you to write and draw on the tablet. On the bottom of the keyboard, there is a fingerprint scanner and also a facial recognition reader which can log you in instantly. Since Brittany is usually on social media while on the computer, the 720p infrared camera is great for facetiming and video chatting with friends and family. With 8GB of RAM, Brittany can download all of the songs she wants and listen to them either wirelessly or with the clear and crisp audio system through the 1-watt speakers provided near the bottom of the keyboard. You can also purchase a dell adaptor to connect your laptop to any monitor, projector, printer or external device while on the go. This laptop uses an intel y-series processor which can come in handy through a new dynamic power mode where the system can automatically boost the CPU frequency in real time giving Brittany more performance when needed while keeping the temperatures level. With this laptop, you get a USB-C & Thunderbolt 3 ports along with a microSD card reader which is such a powerful and versatile port. At a cost of approximately $1808, I chose this laptop for Brittany because as she is in grade 12, this computer will be very useful for years to come after her post-secondary education when she goes off to college or university. The battery life on the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 lasts over 8 hours which can be useful during a long day at school.
