INTRODUCTION Sexual harassment describes a range of actions that involve the harassment of a person due to their sex. Actions may include unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favour, verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature, or the creation of a hostile working environment. Sexual harassment often involves bullying or coercion and the harassers typically have social or economic power over the victim. Sexual harassment is a form of illegal employment discrimination in many countries, though the legal and social definitions of sexual harassment vary by jurisdiction and culture.

Retaliation and backlash against a victim are very common, particularly a complainant. Victims who speak out against sexual harassment are often label troublemakers who are on their own "power trips", or who are looking for attention. Similar to cases of rape or sexual assault, the victim often becomes the accused, with their appearance, private life, and character likely to fall under intrusive scrutiny and attacked. They risk hostility and isolation from colleagues, supervisors, teachers, fellow students, and even friends. They may become the targets of mobbing or relational aggression.

Women are not necessarily sympathetic to female complainants who have been sexually harassed. If the harasser was male, internalized sexism (or jealousy over the sexual attention towards the victim) may encourage some women to react with as much hostility towards the complainant as some male colleagues. Fear of being targeted for harassment or retaliation themselves may also cause some women to respond with hostility.

Retaliation has occurred when a sexual harassment victim suffers a negative action as a result of the harassment. For example, a complainant be given poor evaluations or low grades, have their projects sabotaged, be denied work or academic opportunities, have their work hours cut back, and other actions against them which undermine their productivity, or their ability to advance at work or school, being fired after reporting sexual harassment or leading to unemployment as they may be suspended, asked to resign, or be fired from their jobs altogether. Retaliation can even involve further sexual harassment, and also stalking and cyberstalking of the victim. Moreover, a school professor or employer accused of sexual

harassment, or who is the colleague of a perpetrator, can use their power to see that a victim is never hired again(blacklisting), or never accepted to another school.

Laws surrounding sexual harassment typically don't prohibit simple teasing, offhand comments, or minor isolated incidents. To be considered illegal in most countries, the harassment must either be so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile work environment, or the worker's reaction to sexual advances must be tied to an employment decision such as being demoted, fired or offered a promotion. The harasser can be the victim's supervisor, a supervisor in another area, a co-worker, or someone who is not an employee of the employer, such as a client or customer. An employer is typically responsible for trying to stop sexual harassment when they become aware of it. Harassers or victims can be of any gender.

There are two types of sexual harassment “ quid pro quo” and hostile environment. Quid pro quo (meaning “this for that”) sexual harassment occurs when it is stated or implied that an academic or employment decision about a student or employee depends upon whether the student or employee submits to conduct of a sexual nature. Quid pro quo sexual harassment also occurs when it is stated or implied that an individual must submit to conduct of a sexual nature in order to participate in a University program or activity. For example, Aisyah is struggling in her college banking class. Her professor invites her to his office for additional help, where he makes sexual advances, assuring her he intends to give her a good grade. The professor is in a position of authority over Suzanne, having control over her grades. This is sexual harassment, which is an illegal act, and violation of Aisyah’s civil rights.

Hostile environment sexual harassment occurs when unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature creates an intimidating, threatening or abusive working or learning environment or is so severe, persistent or pervasive that it affects a person’s ability to participate in or benefit from a University program or activity. While a person engaging in harassing behaviour most often has some form of power or authority over the person being harassed, that is not always the case. The harasser can be a peer of the person being harassed. Sometimes the harasser is harassing a person who has power over them.

There are three examples in sexual harassment among student which is verbal, nonverbal and physical. For verbal, such as making kissing sound, howling and smacking lips. For an example, when a beautiful girl walked in front of a group of naughty boys, they will make a kissing sound to attract the girl. For non-verbal is such as staring at someone with a sexual face. For an example, when someone stares at your private part of your body when you jog or wearing swimming suit. Lastly, from physical such as touching the person’s clothing, hair, or body. For an example, when someone unknown approach touching the back of your body on purposely in the bus or train. Lastly, the purpose of the research is to increase the public’s knowledge of what constitutes sexual harassment. Next, to increase student’s confidence and desire to use public spaces in the city at night, to identify the number of incident among students. After that, to determine the type of sexual harassment that frequently happen among student.

Methodology Based on the topic discussed, sexual harassment is not to be classes as the extraordinary things among society. It has been a common thing to be discuss and talk among society from many years ago. Before any observing action took place, our team plan on to provide around 55 to 60 sheet set of questionnaires/survey as reference of data based on the concern of sexual harassment among people. Each sets of questionnaire contain 13 basic and general question about sexual harassment that based on the experience, knowledge and even to generate awareness of sexual harassment of an individual among students in UiTM. The methods used in identifying the data based on the sexual harassment are conducted around UiTM Campus Rembau. The process on analysing the average data of sexual harassment been run smoothly with the great participant of students from different faculties and even semester. The survey on the sexual harassment duration took for about 1 and half month which is we started the process from week 2 to week 5. Each members of the group to be provided with a 11 to 12 sheet of questionnaire. The survey is then to be spread around among student. The purpose of it is that we can generally observe the concern about sexual harassment and make an average count of an individual that comes from different gender, faculties and semester. It is important for the results of gaining the total average perspectives from each individual about the sexual harassment. Collected data are next been observe to make sure that we will be able to identify the total average number of experiences and awareness on sexual harassment among students. It took for almost three and more weeks to manage, observe and arrange the data. To be conclude, the outcome results to be classified and arrange according to specific categories in order to beable to see and to shows the wider pictures of the problems for the next procedure to be in charge....
