To this day most school districts have banned To Kill a Mocking Bird from their schools reading lists. This high school level reading book was banned because of its racial and offensive language. This book shows a different side of our history with the racial and offensive language that it has. Censorship is justified in some readings, but in this book it’s not. This is a high school reading level book. The students that are in high school should have the right level of maturity to handle the offensive language and racial content of this book. The time period in which the book was written shows our own history, in that time period people would talk with that language....
