Barangay: Maysan District: 2 City: Valenzuela Region: National Capital Region Island group: Luzon 1. HISTORY Maysan came from the word "maisan". In English translation, it means corn field since rice fields used to surround the entire lane, and farming was the primary source of income. It goes by many names depending on the barangay it passes through, including Paso de Blas Road in Paso de Blas and Bagbaguin Road in Bagbaguin. It is also known as Malinta Road because it is the road that runs from Barangay Malinta to the North Luzon Expressway's Paso De Blas Interchange (formerly Malinta Interchange). Moreover, fiesta is celebrated during 11th of May in which it is the feast of Mahal na Birhen ng Patron ng Sto. Rosario.

2. SOCIAL 2.1 Demography 2.1.1 Population Size • According to 2015 Census, Barangay Maysan has a total population of 24, 293 with 24, 268 household population and 6, 147 number of households. With 2,506 people, the age group 25 to 29 has the highest population in Maysan. Those aged 80 and up, on the other hand, have the smallest population, with just 94 people. When all age ranges are combined, those aged 14 and under, which include infants/babies, teens, and young adolescents/teenagers, account for 26.59% of the young dependent population (6,460). The economically active population and actual or future members of the work force, approximately those aged 15 to64, account for 69.95% of the population (16,992).
