BSB009 Experiential Learning Workbook

Part A and B: demonstrating planning, goal setting and reporting integrating relevant framework – 10 marks Part A: planning and goal setting (complete and submit by Week 4 of semester) Activity - Provide an outline of the experiential learning activity you will be completing, or have recently completed (100 words). Framework or model - Identify, describe and justify the framework or model you have selected to support your learning during the experiential learning activity, or to build on a completed activity (100 words). Planning and reporting - Using the selected framework, outline your plan for the experiential learning activity, or your plan to reflect on and extend learning from a completed activity. You should clearly outline how you will incorporate self reflection, and demonstrate responsibility and accountability for your learning, and be able to demonstrate to and share with your industry mentor and/or academic tutor. You should identify a broad learning goal, supported by five SMART objectives (up to one A4 page which can include diagrams, tables, text, timeline etc) and the anticipated output/artefact.

Part B: reporting and documenting – no marks allocated - to be completed across the semester, and contribute to your learning forum presentation Reporting - Considering the plan you developed, report on the outcomes and achievements. Did you achieve your broad learning goal and associated objectives? If so, what contributed to your achievements? If not, how or why did you adapt? Or how or why did you fail in meeting objectives? Considering the framework you selected, how did you find it useful? How did you find it challenging? How might you integrate into your future learning and development? You should incorporate some of this reporting into your presentation at learning forum. Documenting your learning - Across the semester, you are encouraged to document your learning through images and short videos. These can be collated in a digital space and the link shared, or paste images. You should incorporate some of this documentation into your presentation at learning forum.

Part D: artefact from experiential learning project and presentation in learning forum – 40 marks In consideration of the diversity of projects and activities that can be linked to BSB009, there will be a variety of outputs from projects. Some examples could be development of a training program, delivery of a marketing or communication plan, evidence of participation in workshops, bootcamp, startup weekend or similar. As part of Part A of your workbook, you will describe the artefact you plan, and this will be discussed and approved by the unit coordinator early in the semester. In some cases, the details and specifics of the artefact may shift as the project progresses, and this should be discussed with unit coordinator during consultation to ensure you are meeting assessment requirements. You should be able to share an artefact with the unit coordinator for assessment purposes, and integrate all or elements of the artefact into your presentation in the learning forum. The integration should consider any confidential information which cannot be shared outside of assessment purposes (eg budgets or similar). You prepare a 10 minute oral presentation using appropriate tools, and deliver in learning forum on campus.
