Description

C383 Study Guide for “Quest”1 (Exam 3 – Part 1) Spring 2020 Logistical Information

Your exam will be administered electronically through Canvas in two parts. o One part will consist of multiple choice questions (10 questions worth 20 points). These will be administered through Canvas with a time limit. o The second part will be short answer (3 questions worth 30 points). To help mitigate the amount of continuous wifi time needed, these will be administered in a separate assessment. You should plan to submit your work as a file upload. You will have a limited amount of time to complete the assignment. You will be able to use your textbook and personal class notes as resources to complete both portions. You are not permitted to use the internet or any other people (this includes classmates, colleagues, friends, family, and acquaintances). I will ask you to check a box showing you agree to the following: “I acknowledge that I am expected to maintain high academic integrity to ensure course equity. I affirm that I will not give or receive any unauthorized help on this assessment, and that all submitted work will be my own. I have consulted only the explicitly allowed resources.” Please ask if you are at all in doubt about what resources are allowed to you.

Your Quest is due by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, April 14th.

Assessment Content: The Quest will cover chapters 15-18. All material covered in class, homework, and discussion sections could be on the exam. Some major topics include: 

Glycolysis: Structures and/or names of all intermediates, names of regulated enzymes, regulation of pathway

Gluconeogenesis: Structures and/or names of all intermediates, names of regulated enzymes, reciprocal regulation

Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Complex: Overall reaction, purpose of cofactors, general structure

General topics: • • • • • •
