affecting women venturing into entrepreneurship because of lacking the capital to initiate start-ups and the bias in funding opportunities.

Outline
Main Point #1 Main Point #1: First, let’s talk about lack of capital to initiate start-ups. a. Disparities in the pay gap put women who are interested in entrepreneurship at a disadvantaged point because they still spend as much as their male counterparts-if, not more. Consequently, they do not save enough money that they can use as capital. b. There are disparities in the rate at which men and women invest with the hope of having start-ups in the future (Leitch, Welter & Henrty, 2018). The findings show that there are invisible barriers that prevent women from saving and investing.
Therefore, they miss opportunities to raise capital for a business venture in the event they decide to cut ties with their employers. c. According to research by Simkange and Dinkani, 2013, gender equality is possible if only there is financial independence and equal access to opportunities for education and personal development (Simkange & Dinkani, 2013). Main Point #2 Now, let’s move on to my second point that there is bias in funding opportunities. a. Research shows that entrepreneurship venture teams that are all male are four times as likely to receive funding from venture capital investors compared to all-women venture teams (Leitch et al., 2018). b. Also, the research showed that only 2.7% of the companies that received venture capital funding had a female CEO (Leitch et al., 2018). c. If we look at the graph below by Guvenen et. al. in 2014, it is apparent that men not only make more than women, but they also dominate the top income
cohorts.
