In contrast, in 2012, life expectancy was up to nearly 80 years old.2 While six years doesn’t seem like a long time, it means that the money we were setting aside for our retirement has to last six more years.” (Gold, 2016) b. Pensions have been replaced with 401ks and IRAs with the responsibility put on the individual and no longer the employer. “a 401(k), “you own the risk.” If you don’t manage it appropriately, it might not last you through retirement. “(Gold, 2016)

Your visual aid needs to be something meaningful that helps your audience learn about or better understand what you are saying. If your visual aid doesn’t fit, please paste it underneath the template. Don’t forget to add your in-text citation underneath it.

c. “Per the 2019 report: "A Summary of the 2019 Annual Reports," trustees wrote that "both Social Security and Medicare face long-term financing shortfalls under currently scheduled benefits and financing."” (Kagan, 2019) d. “By 2020, Social Security's program costs will exceed its income, at which point the program will have to start dipping into its nearly $3 trillion trust fund. “(Kagan, 2019) The OASI trust fund expects to be depleted by 2035 and DI trust fun by 2052.
