I am currently a second year marketing major at the University of Florida. I am originally from Orlando, Florida and have grown up there my whole life. Growing up, I played the viola in my school’s orchestra for eight years. I am now a sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma as well as a leader in UF’s Brazilian Portuguese Club. Since I come from a Brazilian background, I love spreading cultural knowledge and embracing diversity everywhere I go.

I know that it was named after a wellknown patriot and was founded in early 1862, and being based in the historical city of Boston really helps this company emphasize its roots and traditions. This company is also unique to me, because it contributes its resources to so many city wide events like the Boston Marathon, and this involvement really excites me and leads me to believe that this company has outstanding values.

I applied to be an Advice and Product Management Developer, because I feel that I have acquired the skills it takes to get the job done during my college experience. With my past internships and marketing classes behind me, I have learned so much about financial matters pertaining to millennials, adults, and even the elderly who have retired and need assistance in investing their funds that they have acquired. I also love working with others face to face, and I feel that advertising and creating ideas for a company that I love would be one of the best jobs suited for me.

I think it would be effective to measure a combination of both my individual sales within the company and how happy clients are with my individual services. A good worker should not just be based on company sales, so I would focus more heavily on my productivity with the company’s clients and how efficiently I

am working on my tasks. This could be measured using a bar graph or pie chart to show my growth throughout my first six months at John Hancock Financial. 5.

I definitely believe that I have the most potential to grow socially in this company. I absolutely love talking to new people and learning all about their backgrounds, and I think with this, I can better understand diversity both in the social world and in the financial world. I also believe I could expand my public speaking skills, since John Hancock participates in so many outside philanthropy events that require its employees to speak and state the company’s purpose and values.

In five years from now, I could definitely see myself performing well in a marketing manager’s position in this company. I love the idea of helping this company succeed in sales and happy clients by promoting its services and by speaking to others about what this company could do for them and just how it could secure their financial future. As a future manager, I would love to help others in starting marketing positions become successful by sharing my advice and successful marketing strategies...
