Cheese can be one of the most delicious food ever existed in the world and of the tastier too, but as much as we love cheese can we say if it healthy? In the article “is Cheese Healthy” the author Lisa Drayer explains how cheese can a be tasty and have some nutrients but it’s important to eat in small portions. Although cheese can contain Calcium and protein it also has calories that if eaten in great amounts can make us gain body weight and fat. Cheese is also known to have saturated fat and produce cholesterol. But not all is negative, as the author Lisa Drayer said, there’s many cheese that are actually pretty healthy to eat one of those being Cottage cheese and Ricotta.

One of the most important idea we can see in this article is how is important not to overdue the portions of cheese we inherit in our daily lives, everything in excess can be harmful and we got to be careful on how we consume this delicious food, even if it has nutrients it also contains fat, sodium and cholesterol that are not so good for our bodies as this can get us sick, get heart diseases etc . One example made by a scientist Rower Millers a British young man that on his research blog wrote that cheese if eaten in great portions can cause us to gain weight, develop heart diseases or develop certain cancers, but how can cheese cause all of this? As miller said this can all be cause of the fat, cholesterol and sodium we can found on cheese. That’s why Miller says that we always should be careful on eating it.

Another example was made by Dominique Brooks an American blogger and fitness trainer who started to study everything that had to with cheese; in her research she found how cheese

can contain high amounts of sodium. The salt found in the Sodium can increase a high rate of blood pressure or hypertension or as well provoke heart diseases. As Brooks said we should be only able to eat 1,500 and 2,300 milligrams of salt each day, but the average American eats more than that each day. Even the smallest amount of cheese can contain high amounts of sodium as one ounce can contain 450 milligrams of sodium.

Another example we can add to this is how some scientists says how cheese can cause digestions problems when we start to eat it in great amounts and not small portions. This can be a be worse for people who are lactose intolerance and eating cheese can be pretty unpleasant to them since the condition they have which is being lactose intolerant can decreased ability to digest lactose, a sugar found in milk products. And since cheese is made of milk is hard for them to eat it. Some can eat cheese though, but scientist says the closets cheese this people can consume and may not be an issue is cheddar cheese since this type of cheese only has 20 milligrams of lactose but lactose intolerant people can only eat a small bit of this cheese or else they’ll be unable to digest it later.

In conclusion Cheese can be super tasty but we should all be careful as we consume it. Like the author of the article “Is cheese healthy” Lisa Drayer said, we’re free to enjoy our cheese but we all have to be careful to not overdo it....
