Instructions: List each of the steps of the evaluation model. Within each step, describe how you will use stakeholders in completing that evaluation step. Your answer should be about you engage stakeholders in the evaluation NOT the planning of the intervention. Steps of the Evaluation Model

a. Engage stakeholders – In order to engage stakeholders, I will identify key stakeholders and receive their input on what they are looking for in an evaluation. I will record and organize any information that I find out that they need, and keep that in mind for the entirety of the evaluation.

b. Describe the program – In this step, I will use stakeholders by asking for their input in what they want out of the program in regards to its activities and outcomes and what they want the program to accomplish. Knowing what the stakeholders want from the program will help me decide what is important in the program. This will help also serve as a comparison in which to evaluate the program later on.

c. Focus the evaluation – I will use stakeholders by further asking them questions such as what do they need from the results of the evaluation and how will they use these results? I will also try to get their perspectives on the program and what they are concerned about with logistics and resources. Asking the stakeholders what funds and resources they may be able to contribute will also be essential in focusing the evaluation as they may have connections that could facilitate the evaluation.

d. Gather credible evidence – Stakeholders will be useful as I develop a data collection plan with them. I will also incorporate any insights and preferences that they have about data collection into the evaluation.

e. Justify conclusions – I will use the stakeholder’s in drawing conclusions about issues about the program that are important to them. For example, I will clearly address their needs, concerns, and goals for the program and how these will be met with the results that have been found.

Ensure use of evaluation findings and share lessons learned – I will use stakeholders in this stage by interpreting the evaluation findings and developing a plan with them to change or improve the program. I will incorporate their ideas as well as what they want out of the program in order to make decisions on how the program will change. I will also keep them informed on anything that changes about the program. Likewise, I will also use them by using the evaluation results to demonstrate to them the contributions of the program in order to gain more funding so that the program can expand and be improved....
