Albert Chang Collective Intelligence skill

Reddit has always been something that I never bothered to get into. At first the forums looked confusing an me a good minute to figure out how people were commenting or replying back to each other. All I saw was a lines that led to a dialogue and so on. Once you get in the motion of Reddit, it does start to become a lot mor haven’t been on Reddit for quite some time now and when I signed on for his assignment the first trending t about “Siberia is a cause of the Permo-Triassic Extinction, the Earth’s most severe extinction event” along w Akha-Teke. A beautiful white horse”. There are so many random topics on Reddit, you could literally lose time just wandering around in there. For my reddit research, I chose to look up a hobby of mine. I’ve alway that there was a community on Reddit for action figure collectors but I never checked. I looked up a few pages pertaining to what I was looking for but I managed to zone in on two specific groups. One group was m collectors and the other group was focused on tutorials and helping out beginners within the world of acti photography. Both groups displayed exactly what Rheingold was talking about in the chapter, collective inte A shared knowledge of a certain subject with layers and layers of dialogue that I could sort through. So relevant than others but nonetheless, enough information for anyone looking. The one group that were mos collectors shared information about where to buy hard-to-find items. In reference to the reading, they were in as Supercooperators. They would give tips on where to look for rare pieces and direct them to websites, re they may not have come to on their own. The community was literally and virtually “pointing” the inquirer in direction. The other group was focused on teaching each other, members would post their display pictures and they turn receive critique on them. This definitely fell into the category of “Collaborating” as Rhiengold put it. So will post a picture and another veteran will chime in to help out, but the world of Reddit also provides “Collab as well. Many other talented photographers or display artist can lend advice. You can go back and forth, s ideas or figure out what you’re doing wrong. Comments that are more helpful get ranked up, negative comm ranked down and buried. “Tit for tat” sums up the interaction within Reddit as a whole, you find someone and you continue your interactions. Someone comes off in a negative manner, you back off and find som willing to help. Himmelman said it is, “exchanging information, modifying activities, and sharing resou mutual benefit and to achieve a common purpose.” This is exactly why I love this hobby, just like other forms a need to get better, there has always been a collective willing to share their mistakes and success. Ne through this medium to better one another is the true reward of “collaboration”. There are so many tips and tr artist could easily keep to themselves, be selfish and thrive alone. That would ultimately hurt the art form others would either give up due to the difficulty of the process or be turned off by the selfish nature of anoth Our common goal here is to grow and nurture this niche community of display artist, we know that as a coll everyone’s art develops so will the recognition of this art form. Overall, besides all the shared knowledge, th is about bringing together like-minded individuals who just want to find a safe place to chat, be a part of a com...
