Let’s go over what an Airbnb experience is, and what it isn’t. What is Airbnb looking for in an experience? • It’s led by a knowledgeable and passionate host • Guests participate hands-on, or are immersed in an activity • It gives guests access to a special place or community in your country • It tells the story of a host’s unique perspective What we’re not looking for: The following things don’t qualify as an Airbnb experience. • Large and impersonal tours • An event with no clear host • A service (e.g. airport transportation, taxi, selling) • Something guests could easily find on their own (popular, try to be unique and creative) Thanks! Now it’s time to start creating. Step 1 Create your experience Type - Is it an interactive class, a reunion, a lecture, a tour, a game, a show? Activity - Tour by bike, photography, yoga, tarot, cooking, etc. Go creative. Personal - What are you good at? What do you love to do? Step 2 Design your experience Are you going to do this alone, in pairs, in teams? Get your team together. Assign roles, responsibilities. Step 3 Share your idea Share your ideas with your team. Collect other ideas. Get opinions from others. Give opinions to others. Step 4 Draft Start writing an outline. Explain what you are going to do. Step 5 Submit your experience Send your finished description to your teacher. Step 6 Set up and start hosting Record an introductory video to explain your experience. No more than 1 minute.
