Do you think culture should be preserved or should we learn to modify and adapt as times change? 2. If certain gestures, actions, and behaviors can have multiple meanings across different cultures, how can we bridge the gap? 1. Culture is influenced by many factors in society, one major culture is your surrounding. The environment around you plays a key role in shaping who you are and how you are as a person. I believe culture should be both preserved and modified and adapt as times change. We should preserve culture it characterizes your history and how your culture came to be; however, we should also modify and adapt as times change because the world is constantly changing and shaping itself. 2. Although certain gestures, actions, and behaviors can have multiple meanings across different cultures, I believe there are also similarities in those differences. Since we all originated from the same origin at one point, we are not all so different. To bridge the gap, I believe we just need to translate those differences to find that one similarity.
