Performance Management

Instructors will evaluate students progress’s as well as improvements they could be making. Students must be able to access the evaluations.

Administration

Highest level of accessibility, system must allow the student to be tracked by the UEID provided by LMS core system provided. Allows the ability to modify or completely renovate the various learning features and settings in student learning space as well as the instructor teaching space.

Functional Requirement Notifications

Rationale for Requirement The system will send out reminds to students. Students and instructors should have the ability to communicate with each other. Instructors can alert students of deadlines and events.

Course Calendar

Students will have access to the schools events. Students will be able to customize the calendar to fit what program they are enrolled in within the school.

Nonfunctional Requirements Nonfunctional Requirement Security

Rationale for Requirement Protects against unwanted intruders or attacks. Protects user’s information and data. Username and password protection for users. Security software must be kept updated as well.

Usability

This will provide the user with a simple environment to use. The simple operation will all the user to navigate the site easily without help. Usability has a strong impact on the students learning, the student is more likely to return to classes if the environment is user friendly.

Nonfunctional Requirement Performance

Rationale for Requirement The system should be able to fast even with multiple students/users working at the same time. System should work on multiple platforms and devices.

Reliability

Errors in code are reduced for increased reliability. A weak UX has the ability to hamper LMS implementation success.

Scalability

Each user will need the ability to access the application without errors. The system will still need to expand as more data and more users start using the system.

Availability

Maximum time available for crucial components to the system as well as other important services are functional to users. Minimum maintenance impact.
