dawn of the internet...

Description

Dawn of The Internet is where people and machine work together toward one goal. A goal where the communication brings people together across boundaries, time and location. Disregarding each and one of us differences; race, gender, color and status in life. The journey in the net starts when an individual click a link or type something to search on. The information will started to flow first in the personal mail room with the help of IP , the IP is responsible to package, label and sends it. The label content are the senders and receivers address as well as the type of packet. The packet has an address for proxy server. Then, it will be released to the Local Area Network or commonly known as LAN. The LAN function is to connect local computer, routers and printers inside the building walls to share information. The IP packets, Novell packets and apple packets is packed in the highway of the LAN. LAN is an uncontrolled location, and sadly accidents can happen here. So it results to packets going against traffic. With the help of the local routers the packet is being transferred to another network. The Router lifts packets from the LAN The Router is the controller for the net to be organized. Sometimes the router is not quite up to speed. When the packets leave the router it goes to the intranet and head for the router switch. It plays fast and loose with IP packets defly routing them along the way. The network interface picked up the packets when it arrives to their destination and sent to the next. The proxy helps to mediate in order to lessen the internet connection load. With the proxy help, it opens the packet and look for web address and URL for security for security purposes. There are instances when some of the addresses are not approved by proxy. Next is the Firewall. The purpose of firewall is to prevents inappropriate things from the internet from coming into the intranet and prevent sensitive information to be leaked out.

When the packets passed trough the firewall a router picks it up and places it on a narrower bandwidth. When the packet did not make it the IP will send a replacement packet. The world of internet. This is where our routers and switches are kunked together between networks. There are freedom that we can found here but dangers also exist. The ping of death is one of the danger we can find here, a normal request but a special version that some people thought about to mess up unsuspecting hosts. The path where packets go maybe via satellite, telephone lines or wireless. Shortest or fastest routes, they will eventually get to their destination. That’s why world wide web is sometimes known as world wide wait. There is another firewall it can support the security or a feared opponent depending on the data packet perspective. The firewall that is designes to only let in those packets that passed its criteria. Ports 80 and 25 is the wall operating ports. An attempt to enter through other ports is cannot be entertain. Mail packets is for port 25 while entrance for the packets from the internet to web server is port 80. The packets are screened meticulously inside the firewall. It is not easily tricked even a ping of death cover as normal ping packet entering the interface. That is the end of the journey of the lucky packets. A web server is more improved today. It can be through web cam, the computer, the refrigerator or something in our sight. The Dawn of the Net where almost anything is possible. The journey of the packet that is now being opened and unpacked, The information that back past to firewalls, router and internet. Ready to supply the information requested
