Oppression Oppression can be used in many forms. In most cases it is misused. Women are not the only one being oppressed, men can to. Oppression means that there is cruel behavior in the treatment of the person. Meaning that when the female, or men get abused it’s a form of oppression. An example of oppression that was mentioned in the book was that young female adults who are sexually active get called names such as “whores” because of how the society sees it. This from of oppression is being misused because its an opinion not a factual way. Women should not be oppressed by being punished to satisfy their pleasures. Yes, in a societal aspect it is inappropriate behavior for the women but men also do it. I do not have any personal experience of being oppressed. I tend to have people walk over me because of my vulnerability. Feminism takes a huge claim over oppression because it highly affects females in this societally world. To feminists it’s a dangerously fashioned term that is highly not used because of how often it gets misused. It is said in the chapter that smile bubbly people are the most target populated people to get oppressed. Oppression can be misused in many forms and due this action many innocent people get emotional hurt....
