In colombia the death penalty should be legal because it better for the country, the crime decrease and the prisioner could feel the same that their victims. Death constitutes "cruel and unusual punishment," which is prohibited by the 8th amendment to the US Constitution. Also, the various means used by the state to kill a criminal are cruel. The death penalty is used disproportionately against the poor, who cannot afford expensive legal counsel, as well as against racial, ethnic and religious minorities. Killing human life is morally wrong under all circumstances. Some faith groups, such as the Roman Catholic Church, oppose the death penalty as not being "pro-life." In many countries or states exist the death penalty already, for example in colombia this is illegal. Even the bible advocates death for murder, rape and other crimes like kidnapping and witchcraft. In conclusion the death penalty have pros and cons but the positive aspects have had great change in the world because the crime is decrease and the security is each time better.
