MARKETING MANAGEMENT QUIZ Name : Monica Vania NIM : 29320098 1. How big the digital marketing strategy will affect to the success product of campaign from one company? Many businesses that can be done by everyone in any industries but the hardest thing is how to market it. The biggest challenge of doing a business is how to market and sell the product or service of the company, because of it the marketing strategy is really important and also impact of that can change the company growth. Marketing strategy doesn’t always talk about how to sell the product, but it talks about how that strategy can match between the company product and market demand. I think, that’s the hardest part for any kind of business, even it’s big or small. For example, I have business in FnB Industry, actually a coffee shop, but in this pandemic situation, the hardest part is about selling the product through online platform. Usually I provide a place to hangout and the location was really good to gain the nearest market, the people usually find my place for hangout, working and meeting, but right now the hardest challenge is happening. We should find the way to sell the product because open a place was not worth to do. That situation also changes people’s behaviour and perspectif of buying product. As a seller or company, we should adapt with this to keep our brand. People or market can be found online, many platforms are available to use for selling the product but the specific things that need to be prepared are to find the customer needs. You can sell any products, but the gap is there, when your product doesn’t match people needs and expectation or the products are not the daily needs or emotional needs. The marketing strategy is really important to break this gap, to find our online audience and market, to learn about the competitor’s strategy, bring the value through our brand (product and service), and integrated our company brand to the market. Through digital marketing strategy, we should build their awareness to our product or service with make good contents in social media, do webinars with good speakers, campaigns and others. When people brand awareness has been built, we can bring them to try the product, becoming customer and buyer and tell their circle to try our product → mouth to mouth strategy through digital online platform. That’s how it works especially for this situation.

2. Give an example from a product when digital marketing can boost sales compared with traditional marketing I know a brand that I’m also using right now. It called BLP Beauty, it’s a local cosmetic brand that I’ve been using it for this last 2 years. The product is pretty good, but I’m impressive with their digital marketing strategy, if I compare with others cosmetic local brand. BLP Beauty started their product on Lipcoat (Lipcream) but after around 2-3 years they can provide all kind of makeup needs completely, such as: Foundation, Concealer, Powder, Eyeshadow, Blush pallete, Lipgloss, Lipstick, Makeup tools, etc where from one brand we can do makeup our face completely. They always give ‘added’ value through their brands, such as: “Be adored”, “Be yourself”, It’s ok to have imprefections, everyone is beautiful in their own way. Their brand made people feel accepted for all their flaws, especially women and buy their product. From my experience for using their products, the products are really good for local brand level. I think they are the best brand and product in local cosmetics. The price also worth to buy. One thing, the most exciting part is on this pandemic situation, they were succed to launch two new products → Face base foundation with 12 shades and Concealer. I think, they are succed to break people perspective of using makeup. Usually we use makeup for meeting, formal activites and others outdoor activities, but they told us that using makeup is for ourselves (even we are staying home right now), so that mindset can change people’s behaviour of using makeup and buy their products. It’s a huge breakthrough in beauty industry especially cosmetics. They also give promotion for who are buying online through their website, they provide e-commerce promotion such as 10.10, 11.11 to increase their sales. For my experience, also I recommend this product to my friends to try because the quality of product is really good. The difference between digital marketing and traditional marketing is where the products are promoted. Digital marketing has been used for giving the solution to the market through make the easiest way of buying products (through online) where the traditional marketing is hard to implied right now....
