Duration: One year full-time or two years parttime

Low- to mid-level management of distribution, transport, import and export operations, warehousing, inventory, procurement, or freight forwarding. These roles can be found in a wide range of industries, as logistics operations are involved not only in mining, manufacturing and agriculture but also in service industries such as transport (e.g. aviation, shipping), retailing, wholesaling, accommodation, tourism and education.

Prerequisites: Applicants must have a demonstrated capacity in learning, reading, writing, oral and numeracy competencies to Level 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). They must also be able to use a personal computer, including basic word processing, spreadsheet, electronic communication platforms and internet search engines. Application: Direct (all intakes) The Diploma of Logistics is a general qualification for the integrated management of logistics operations in an enterprise. This course prepares students to responsibly manage varied functions in the wide area of logistics including freight, supply chains, transport, inventory, procurement, warehousing and other areas. Students learn to plan and select appropriate equipment, services and techniques to manage these area, and to carry out higher-level strategic planning.
