Direct-Strategy Memo Assignment 1. Who is the receiver and what are the receiver’s likely attitude, interest and/or questions in relation to this message? The receiver is going to be 15 employees who have most likely worked for the organization for at least 4 months. The receiver’s likely attitude is going to be positive as employees were asked in the zoom meeting last week what were their thoughts on participating in fun activities to engage more with one another and to create a fun environment, which all employees had positive feedback. The employees will have a positive interest because they will be able to participate in the planning on the events by sharing ideas and thoughts. I, as a Manager of Resources One, will take all feedback into consideration to create amazing events going forward. The questions that can arise from employees could be where the event is going to occur? when? and such details but there will be a follow up memo when details are finalized to ensure all questions will be answered once I receive all feedback from employees to ensure everyone can collaborate. 2. How much does the receiver already know about this subject? The receiver is aware that there will be upcoming events that will allow all employees to engage and participate due to a zoom meeting that was hosted last week by all managers. Employees were asked if they wanted to participate in upcoming events to ensure that all employees could get to know eachother better and create a fun environment. 3. What is the receiver’s likely response to the message? Positive? Negative? Neutral? The receiver’s response is likely to be positive as almost all employees agreed in the last meeting to participate in upcoming events. The receiver will also have a positive attitude because they will be able to participate in the planning on events by sharing ideas and thoughts. 4. What information does the receiver need to know in order to understand and respond to this message? The information that must be known before reading the memo is just that there will be upcoming events that will be occurring in the facility where most events have been planned, which is room 2O4A. However, all details will be included within the memo.

Memo Requesting Information To: All employees From: Camila S. Arango - Manager of Resources One Date: March 22nd, 2021 Subject: Upcoming Events Planning I am writing this on behalf of Resources One. We, as a team, want to incorporate more creative and fun events on which we all can participate. We think this will be a great idea for everyone to get involved not only in the event itself but throughout the planning process. These events will allow everyone to get to know each other and to hopefully build long-lasting relationships. We are so excited to announce that the first game night will be happening on Friday, April 23rd, 2021 at 8:00 pm EST. The event will be held in the event room 204A at our facility. All employees are allowed to bring one extra person. Our team will ensure to provide drinks, food, snacks and lots of activities. That being said, we want all of you to participate in the planning of these upcoming events. The following questions will allow us as a team to finalized details for upcoming events that will be unforgettable for all participants. -

What kind of activities or games would you like to play as a team with the purpose of getting to know each other and being creative? How often should we host these after-work games nights? How often could you attend?

Please provide answers to these questions to the corresponding supervisor for the department that you are part of, it can be submitted by email or in person. These answers should be submitted by Monday, April 5th, 2021. The corresponding supervisor will then submit one file with all answers provided to ensure that all responses are seen and taken in consideration.
