DIY PRESENTATION NOTES

EXPLANATION OF PROJECT  Wanting to find a way for the visitor to be completely aware of their senses and allowing all your senses to communicate through the listening of ASMR to trigger visual ideas…  An individual/personal experience to become a communal experience  Underlying issues with global warming and climate change HOW WILL WE SET UP ROOM (TECH SPEC & RISK ASSESSMENT)  There will be 4 speakers pointing towards the middle, playing audio of ASMR that we have recorded and others we have sampled  In the middle of room will be one table with mud/compost and stones  Sheet on floor to protect it  Sign up or on table saying “Make what you hear” or “Listen and create” VIDEO OF MUD BEING MOLDED  Buy 1 or 2 big bags of compost mixed with water  Not expecting it to mold into a big sustaining sculpture  HOW WE HAVE MADE IT DIY  Availablism  Installation art  Turning individual into communal thing  Spectator crucial to completion of work  Literally using the Earth’s resources as part of the project AUDIO ASPECT  What microphones ASMRtists use  How we are recording it ourselves – availabilism  The different triggers – whispering, tapping, mouth sounds, slime …  Show work in progress LINK TO GLOBAL WARMING  Through what we are whispering – articles on global warming  Through the materials – compost, stones
