TULUM

Tulum was a walled city of Mayan culture located in the State of Quintana Roo, in southeastern Mexico It was one of the last cities that the Maya built and inhabited. This civilization managed to resist 70 years after the Spanish conquest; by the end of the 16th century they had already been dominated and eradicated by the weapons and diseases of the intruders of the old continent. A large fence protected the city from enemy invasions by land and behind it, the waters of the Caribbean Sea, with coral reefs and turbulent currents, defended any sea attack. Tulum is made up of three important buildings: The Temple of the Frescoes, the Temple of the Descending God and The temple of the Wind God is also distinguished. The weather is warm and humid; its vegetation and fauna is of average forest in deterioration. Tulum is a truly amazing site, since in addition to knowing the ruins of the Mayan civilization, you can see the Caribbean Sea with that turquoise blue so representative of its waters. Tulum is now a popular tourist place for people from all over the world, since in addition to having an archeological zone, it also has different beaches with crystal clear waters and fine sand, lagoons that because of their rocky location are so clear that they reflect the trees and wildlife surrounding the place.
