How Strategy Supports an Aspect of Diversity that is Important in Early Childhood Education This strategy uses music and songs to teach language in both primary and secondary languages. This strategy provides children to interact with each other of different cultures. Children are developing social skills while learning to interact with diversity. Providing a schedule for children to follow will help meet the needs of each student.

Specific Example with Explanation of this Strategy will be used to Support ELL’s Teachers can use music to encourage different cultures that are represented in the classroom. Teachers can allow playtime for children. Teachers can also do partner or group activities.
Teachers can write a schedule on the board of important times like lunch, recess, math, science, etc. Teachers can model appropriate behavior within the community for students to learn appropriate ways to interact with others. Teachers can use objects or pictures to represent vocabulary words or lessons. If a teacher reads “When you give a mouse a cookie” a picture or object of a plate full of cookies will enhance the learning for the lesson. Teachers can label everyday things with 2 or 3 different languages. This will help students learn primary and secondary languages in the

This strategy allows students to write their name, date, and their plan on a piece of paper every day at the beginning of class. At the end of class, a reflection sheet will be given. Children must learn how to read and learn from their reading. Reading becomes an important skill.

Students will be able to see the pictures and sound out the words in both languages. Teachers can hang up these photos to help students become accustomed to the differences in a diverse society. Teachers will write a daily schedule in clear print in a specific area in the classroom. This helps to keep students on track and teachers on track during each day. Planning and reflecting is important for students who may struggle in the classroom. This allows students to start class with a goal in mind.
Students can learn by reading a book, a picture book. Books can teach children things about other cultures. For example, a book about Indians may show horses, tents, and tan people. Teachers can use games, activities, group work, and art to help
