Description

ENG 122 Summative Assessment Part One Guidelines and Rubric Feedback and Revision Reflection.

Looking back on my previous work with my revisions, small scale revisions have worked well for me. The reason I like to use small scale revisions is that it helps me focus on the article in small chunks so I do not get distracted or overwhelmed, trying to do a large-scale revision would overwhelm me too much.

I am going to stay with the small-scale revisions since it works best for me, since my instructor wants me to focus on proofreading and checking for proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. This feedback will influence me by reminding me to slow down and really think about what I am writing, and this will help me also make less mistakes as well.

The only changes I will make is to remind myself to think about what I am writing and how I translate my thoughts to the paragraphs I am writing. After reading my selected article a few times, I have surmised that the audience that would read the article would be a junior and senior in high school. They would be thinking about their future beyond high school and if they want to pursue getting a degree or find a job to gain experience and forego college.

Some of the challenges I could face trying to connect to my target audience would be that they already made their decision and it will be hard to sway them to change. Another challenge would also be to make sure that I am talking to my audience and not at my audience, so they feel like I am giving them good advice and that I am not going to judge them no matter if they follow my advice or not.

Some of the choices I can make within my writing to connect with this younger audience would be is, to summarize my thoughts in a way they can understand and to also highlight the important parts of my text so they know to pay attention to the critical parts for them to remember more than anything else....
