EXECUTIVE SUMMARY In this case study, I managed to develop new knowledge about real businesses that happens out there. Besides, I also managed to know about the owner’s personal entrepreneurial competencies and understand the business’s performance through the SWOT analysis which contains of strength, weaknesses, opportunity, and threat

Awareness of high quality bake a cake is on the rise. Good cake is a rare combination of nutrition, convenience, and luxury. Today's consumer has less time to create wholesome, handmade cake and other dessert, but increasingly appreciates the nutritional and sensory benefits it provides. Good cake is provides fiber and carbohydrates in a convenient, low fat form that is portable and delicious. Good cake never goes out of style.

The specialty of our cakes is that they are self-made, so all the ingredients used are the best and not harmful to health. Because people like cheese -based cakes, so we diversify the types of cakes, such as chocolate cheese cake, it is combined in one container, but there are two types of cakes at once. Also, melted cheesecake and haunted lava cake. Special menu is, cheese tart and Brownies we can make it according to the taste and design desired by customers whether they want a birthday cake, anniversary cake, wedding cake or other types of cakes.

This cake business Ana Sweet's Homemade Cake & Dessert was started by my sister Nurul Anasuha and her husband from 2014 until now in 2021. She sold cakes at first only around the house and village. Then with the facebook application of her business Ana Ayu Jannah made this business grow more than just one village now has customers from all districts in Perak. She makes various types of cakes and according to the wishes of his customers well, taking care of the services and quality of the cake so that there is no damage to the cake.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION (BEFORE ACTIVITY)

 I want to do business bake a cakes and selling cakes. My sister is doing this business and I want to join it. In order to gain experience. The background of this business is:Name of business: Ana Sweet's Homemade Cake & Dessert Nature of business: Deals in Good and Service Product : Cheese & Chocolate Cake, Cheese Tart And Brownies State of Business : Pantai Remis, Perak ( Manjung & Taiping )  The reason I chose this business is because there is a lot of demand for cheese products these days. Therefore, by selling cheesecake or cheese tart will get a lot of response from customers.

 I will target children and teenagers as customers of this cake. Because, at this age they like to buy dessert such as cheesecake and others.

 I will start this business on June 8, 2021 and start the business for two more weeks and the deadline is June 28, 2021.

 Since the covid-19 pandemic has hit us, so I decided to promote this cake and dessert sales business online. I will use the social media platforms Facebook and Instagram.  I use advertising on Facebook such as status updates about the cake I want to sell and put stickers of the brand on the packaging to gain new customers.  Also, i ask for customer feedback to improve the business's performance.  First I want to do is bake a cake with my sister, after that I want to post an ad about the cake using facebook by uploading a picture of my product, then I will take all the orders and prepare the cakes ordered. Next my sister and I will send the order by car (COD). I will be giving flyers to customers to get more info on desserts sold and numbers to contact us.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION (AFTER ACTIVITY)

 This Ana Sweet's Homemade Cake & Dessert It is located in the famous city in Perak which is Manjung and Taiping.



The location easy to find for customer to pick up their order. The supplier located nearby so it is easy to get and buy ingredients.



I promote the business using social media platform such as Facebook and Instagram to gain new customer. Also, i ask for customer feedback to improve the business's performance.

 Then, i put stickers of the brand on the packaging so other people that do not buy but eat it will notice and get their number. Attract customer to purchase by highlighting the excellent qualities of the product made in fulfilling the customers’ demands and desires. Lastly, i have put affordable price that match with the taste and quality of the product.

 Puan Anasuha use her own saving to start this business. She provides capital of RM2,000 to start up everything. Using that money, she buys all the ingredients, oven, mixer and other baking tools. She did not apply any loan to funding the business. For monthly expenses, the business will rolled up their capital to fund anything that the business need such as utility bills and ingredients . Besides, every month, Ana Sweet’s Homemade Cake & Dessert estimated sales is up to RM 4,500 while the estimated profit is RM 3,500. So averagely, Ana Sweet’s Homemade Cake & Dessert can get RM 42,000 for a year.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

When running this business i have facing many types of customers behaviour. One of its is Customers have different purchasing habits depending on their taste and preference of product. Social, cultural, psychological, and personal factor influence the purchasing behavior of customers from a bakery. Sometime the bakery did not fulfill all the customer’s demand. Hence, the workers need to face customers behavior such as fussy buyer. So my solution to this customer is provide excellent service to the customers. i suggest them try to fulfill all the demand from customers. I also need to be patient with the customer and make customers suitable to come at our services so that i can avoid fussy buyer and make loyal customers. Next is, some of the raw materials used by bakeries are subject to extreme fluctuations in cost on a yearly basis. These changes can severely affect the bakery's profit margin unless the cost is passed on to consumers. If the cost was passed on to customers, it would affect the product price so that the customers tend to move to another bakery to find the lower price of product. Then, for problems about raw materials for bake a cake, one way to minimize the risk on price fluctuation is Ana Sweet's Homemade Cake & Dessert need to negotiate a contract for a fixed price on raw materials with supplier such as eggs, cheese and butter. It would be the best choice if the price cost of raw materials increase, i can maintain their price of product to customers due to contract for fixed price that my sister signed with the supplier. For me all the experiences I went through while selling these cakes were so much fun and challenging. But this has opened my mind more widely in the field of business. All challenges must be overcome wisely and not in a hurry. The experience of interacting with different types of customers is invaluable, with this experience I will make it a valuable lesson for my future.
