EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The entrepreneur that I have chosen is Puan Siti Noor Sabrina Binti Soobri. She is the founder of Mamasab International Sdn. Bhd. Mamasab International Sdn. Bhd. is a business that mainly sells cakes and sweets. Their very first branch opened in Petaling Jaya. Mamasab Bakery started their business at home and growing big until they have their own branches and factories. Based on the online search about this entrepreneur and her business, I got to know about the background of the business.

The business started from home by itself in 2015. Mamasab International Sdn. Bhd. has been operated on for almost 6 years. At that time, she learned a lot of cake recipes through baking class and Youtube videos. In 2017, Mamasab changed its name to Sabrina Bakery Sdn. Bhd. In 2019, again they changed the name to Mamasab International Sdn. Bhd. to grow the business to a higher level. Mamasab Bakery opened its very first branch in Petaling Jaya. Within 2 years, they have opened 2 factories and 5 new branches. The demand for the product is encouraging as it manages to get a thousand sales in a day.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION (BEFORE ACTIVITY)

Mamasab International Sdn. Bhd. sells a wide range from cakes, cookies, dry foods items, and frozen foods to cosmetics. Each item is made from scratch daily at their bakeries using the high quality of ingredients. The company particular to ensure the products looks appealing and attractive. Currently, Mamasab has around 60 products in total and some of the products also had been awarded a prestigious award.

The reason why I am choosing this product is that they offer an interesting and variety of products in the market which could stimuli the buying power of people the company has created a digital system called agent system or drop ship where companies can expand their business network more centralized, systematic, and cost-effective. This agent or dropship system allows loyal customers to venture into business by bringing the "Mamasab Bakery" brand without having to spend any capital, become a distributor without having to hold stock while expanding the business network to all corners of the area. This system will ease the members as Mamasab customers will provide guidance directly from the founders and from experienced distributors online or offline. Mamasab International Sdn. Bhd. is using agents and distributors to market their product by having advantages from a variety of product ranges it would be easy to fulfill the needs and manage to place the positioning accuracy in the niche market by segmentation and competitively succeed to reach all customers in Malaysia including Sabah and Sarawak. The target market will probably engage with the buyer that consists of all age range from kids, teenagers, and adults.

Next, the student should also define and identify who is their target customer. I have started my business starting from 15 June 2021, Tuesday until 24 June 2021, Thursday which takes 10 days to create my official accounts, promoting the business, and find the customers. Students are also needed to inform when they start their business and the duration of their business. During this total lockdown covid 19 pandemics, the only way to carry out this business is online. I have been utilized many platforms social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, What’s app status, and among my relatives from an official business account to my account. The tools that I have been using during the business operation is through digital poster and brochure which provided by the headquarters itself and advertising by personal selling which includes dealing with customers through social media’s platform.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION (AFTER ACTIVITY)

After undergone the 10 days of business operation, here I can sum up the structure of my results from the business. First, the items that have been sold are 5 whole cakes with different flavors such as DFCC (Devil Food Chocolate Cake) Cheese Padu, Combo Lagi Dahsyat, Pecan Butterscotch Cake, and Red Velvet Cake. Not only that, but the item also that has been sold comprise 5 sets of cosmetics products.

The biggest added value that

contributes to my sale is the collaboration with the famous artist in our country who is Neelofa which presented the brand named Young & Glow Foundation X Mamasab. It easily attracts people to buy it and the total of foundation that is sold is 5 pieces. This is the following financial cash flow in terms of gaining profits. PRODUCT

As a new dropship in Mamasab businesses, I will gain many benefits like obtaining the incentive in each product sold. I do not have to be worried about the capital that needs to be used to start up the businesses as Mamasab did not charge the newbie in the register as a drop shipper and, I do not need to keep any stock with me because the distributor will distribute the product according to their zone. The best part is this business we do not have to worry about losses as this company ensure the risk-free to all the sellers.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING (STUDENT’S EXPERIENCE)

There are few experiences that I have been through especially when dealing with the customer. Commonly, most of the customers will approach me and ask about specific detail about certain products, that is why I have a mindset in my mind which whenever the customer show their interest towards the product that does not mean they will purchase the product. That is the reality that when we conduct a business which is we must treat them equally and respect them as a buyer. Next, whatever actions did by the customer, as a seller, we should be patient and control our temper in any kind of situation.

Based on my

experience the are certain customers who canceled purchased the item last minute because they deny accepting the additional cost such as cash on delivery. Based on my experience in making this short-term business, here I can conclude to make people know about the products that we sell is we need to always promote our business especially when you are selling the people needs which is food because if we constantly promoting it, if not today they will come back for tomorrow because they crave for it. The key to success is consistency. Anything we do in our life starting from studying to working or in business we need to be hardworking person. If you lazy to start, then you will get nothing and always set a positive mindset in your mind because it will encourage you to do better and be better. If from the start we set a negative mindset, we will not be going to make it because we afraid people will not buy our products, or they will get no interest in our product. I always keep in my mind that one motivational quote that I found on google that inspires me is “To succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure”.
