Evidence Based Practice Project Power Point Presentation (30%) Belong to a group of 5 students. The product of this assignment is a group presentation. No paper will be submitted but the PP should be uploaded to Canvas. For this assignment, think about a clinical topic, problem or question that interests you, and/or from your personal, professional or clinical experiences. It could be “modalities of care for premature babies in the NICU” or “the best treatment for African American women with infertility,” or it could be “the best treatment for unconscious adult survivors of out of hospital cardiac arrest with return of spontaneous circulation following resuscitation”. The problem/question should be related to nursing practice. In other words, there needs to be nursing implications to addressing your question. Please ask me for guidance on your group topic so I can guide and direct you before you move on with the project. Start thinking about your topic early, right after the first week of class. Check the sample PICO questions I posted. You cannot use these questions for your project. Formulate a PICO question. Ask me for guidance on your formulated question. Check the PICO templates I posted. State the PICO question on top before the synthesis table (see p. 2) Search the literature - find five (5) high quality articles from peer reviewed journals presenting research interventions that you can use for your PICO question, including metaanalysis and high-quality systematic reviews. This will give you five articles to work with. The 5 articles have to match your topic chosen and published within the last 5 years only. You can ask us for guidance if the articles you chose fit the topic you decided on. Fill out the template with details addressing all of the sections of the table: Address all concerns listed on the grading rubric: PICO Question Problem Background Review of the Evidence (the articles you have chosen) Recent high-quality articles chosen; information placed appropriately in the template format (emailed to us) The article you decide has the best solution to the problem and why Implications for nursing practice The quality of PP presentation counts Ability to answer questions Follow the rubric for your presentation carefully. You have about fifteen minutes to present your final product. All PP presentations should be uploaded to Canvas.
