Learning activity 2 Evidence: Life from a wheelchair

1. What does Ashley do for a living? She is a communications student. She spent her life between her university, her friend and her family. If she hadn’t had aspirations to overcome her disability, she would not have been happy.

2. How does her condition affect her daily activities and how does she deal with it? Being a person with a disability is quite a challenging condition, her university was not perfectly qualified for life on campus with a disability, adding that not all people are empathic, she had a bit of trouble getting to her classes on time because of the traffic of people, however she tried to leave for 15 to 20 minutes to be on time.

3. What is her attitude towards life? Does she feel disabled from certain activities? Ashley has a positive outlook on life. She feels able to do things for herself, like move to her bed, she feels able to swim. her attitude to her life is that of a happy person and that she never gives up until she achieves her goals. She feels unable to perform certain activities such as running, she does not know that feeling and is lucky to have her parents who always support her.

4. How would your life be different if you were handicapped and had to use a wheelchair? What would be different for you? If I had a disability and had to use a wheelchair, things would be very different, I consider myself a very active person and I would not be able to do my daily activities as I usually do because I would not be able to move so fast from one place to another. there would be an emotional change in my life because it would be something unexpected, something I'm not used to, it would probably depress me.

5. How do you react when you have to interact with a handicapped person? When I interact with a handicapped person, I react in a way friendly. I try to be very nice with that person so that it ca have a great time and it can feel very happy.

6. How can you contribute to improve the life of handicapped people? If I am a kind person, I will help to understand these people. If I have a positive attitude, they will see life in a positive way. If I share time with them, they will understand that they are important to society....
