Watch the Bradford City Stadium fire that is in Module #5 “Bradford Stadium Fire” or go to: o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6iTSAwGo1Y or type in “Bradford Stadium Fire” on youtube. o You will watch a fire that occurred during a soccer match.

Post the Following in Assignment #5 / Week #5 (15 Points) 

From the NIST Office Fire Demonstration answer the following in a paragraph: o Tell me the order of when conduction is the dominant heat flow, when convection is the dominant heat flow, and when radiation is the dominant heat flow and their approximate time during the office fire demonstration. (Put the answer and time in list form) (6 Points) - Conduction occurs first and is the dominant trait right at the beginning of the video when the flame first ignites (0:01). - Convection is the next trait that appears. This happens when the ceiling begins to fall apart and ignites into flames ignite (4:33). - Radiation is the last dominant heat flow. This appears when the whole room ignites in flames and a flashover appears (5:08). (I based my findings on the Office as a whole, not just the small office room that it showed at the beginning. Also – I used the time stamp that that was found on the screen.)



From the Bradford Stadium Fire, answer the following in two sentences: o Which mode of heat transfer is causing the majority of the injuries to the fans in the stadium? (3 Points) The heat transfer stage convection is what is the main cause of injury and the starting of moving the crowd out of the stands, the fire was not yet large enough to fully ignite the things around it, but it was still extremely dangerous (and hot), which is why the crowd fled the scene. Eventually, convection starts to take over, and that is when they fully evacuate the stands. o What surprised you about this video?

It truly surprises me that it took the people so long to evacuate the stands. If I would see a little bit of black smoke – I would have ran immediately, yet it took these people almost a minute to understand what was going on, and to fully evacuate.  Grammar and Punctuation (1 Points) 
