Design Brief: You have been approached by a manufacturer to design a package for a new style of biscuit. The client requires that the packaging be environmentally friendly therefore it should be recyclable and sustainable. The package must be simple to manufacture and sturdy, enabling it to protect the biscuits from pests and damage during transportation. The biscuit packaging must include all mandatory food labelling requirements according to Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) and a name for the new biscuits.
The food package I have designed followed the constants and considerations in the design brief. The package is environmentally friendly as the package can be recycled when the package is thrown out ,the package is will decompose faster than the normal. The package is sustainable as it does not require trees to be cut down but this package is made from recycled cardboard that is treated form any bacteria and germs. The package is sealed shut to protect from insects and pest during transportation. If the package seal is broken the customer is not to buy the product. All the mandatory food labels are followed as per to the FSANZ and the name is made by me and it is copyrighted.
