Code of Conduct and Academic Standards GCU has a strict policy for conduct and academic integrity violations. Conduct is the university standard of how the students should be acting. Academic integrity is the action of honesty. You are taking credit for only what is yours and giving credit to others when needed. Two academic integrity violations are cheating and sharing/purchasing work. Cheating consists of the action itself and helping others cheat, and even attempting to cheat. Some examples would be the act of giving other students the answers to a test or looking up the answers online to a test for yourself. The student violation submitting work that is not their own is prohibited. Some examples of this action would be paying someone to complete the assignment for you and using submitted assignments by students who previously took the course. Two conduct violations would be falsification, possession of firearms. Falsification is not only university conduct but is against the law. Some falsifications are signing documents for other people and giving false information on forms to get scholarships you don't qualify for. Possession of a firearm as a student on campus will not be tolerated. Examples of what could be considered firearms are any guns, bombs, or explosives on campus. Also, students can rely on their professors' answers to get the help they need rather than rely on information from the internet or their classmates. These actions go for both individual and group activities. When working in a group, all students should participate and have their part rather than one student doing all the work and everyone else taking credit....
