Description

GLOBAL DEMOGRAPHY There are many different types of scenarios in which population growth is beneficial. When labor is much more limited than accessible land or money, rapid population growth is most desirable. A notable example is the time of colonization in the America. There is a lot of potential for establishing cash crops such as tobacco, but there aren't enough laborers to work the land. The answer was to either encourage colonization or enslave people. A further indication is when the rate of capital growth is at least as fast as the rate of population increase. This may be the situation when a country is quickly industrializing or has recently endured an overseas war that has resulted in a significant reduction in the number of young adults. Rapid population increase would have been impossible without the development of low-cost mass medicine, which allowed for a significant drop in morbidity. Population

breakthroughs that provided enough food and medicines to keep people alive for longer periods of time. A whole other example is how having a high birth rate is an observed feature. The demographic transition model is divided into five stages, the first of which has a strong growth and mortality rate that would gradually drop as the stages go higher. I would say that rapid population increase is vital because it establishes the foundation for a country's development and progression to higher levels. This has been true for all nations. It is not economically neutral how a population grows. Given to the up and coming dependency ratio, increase through fertility has a significant negative impact. That is, caring for and educating new children costs money and time that could otherwise be spent on production. New births aren't economically beneficial until the children are legally an adult. Rapid population expansion is impossible without antecedent increases in people's productive capacity and life expectancy, i.e., the quantity cannot increase

without the quality improving. Rapid population increase is a result, not a cause. As I became more familiar with the various aspects of my civilization, I realized that population expansion as a whole is beneficial because it not only adds diversity to my community, but also to the world at large. When we can learn more about lives of people from diverse cultures and, if possible, experience and learn from them, our society becomes more delightful. Another situation is when a country's dependency ratio exceeds a specific threshold, which is harmful. Many wealthy countries with low fertility rates and population growth are in this situation. For many, this is a difficult scenario, particularly in industrialized countries with strong socialistic benefits, such as Japan. Adult immigration, particularly highly skilled adult immigration, would have the greatest positive impact on economic growth. However, unless the exporting countries are experiencing very rapid population growth relative to a low population receiving country, such highly qualified immigrants may not exist in sufficient numbers for "rapid population expansion." Migrants benefit the receiving country since competent and educated labor is immediately available to fill job shortages. Because it takes time and resources to train new individuals, countries import labor by allowing migrants to enter. Immigrants are beneficial because they developed the country, they do the work we don't want to do, and they are the country's backbone. It depends on what kind of migrant an individual is. They could be a consumer, worker, or entrepreneurs.

development of the country. Roads and schools are paid for by their taxes. Skilled workers are the other category of migrant. They frequently

work for large corporations and build the software that runs on your computer or car. They contribute to the expansion of the economy. Entrepreneurs are a smaller subset of the population. Immigrants seem to be more entrepreneurial than natives, which means that, rather than filling employment in existing firms and limiting opportunities for natives, they start their own enterprises, increasing the number of jobs available. People seeking a better life, move and prove to be hardworking excellent citizens of their new country. Imagine having to get rid of everything you own and moving to a new location, which is sometimes a difficult road to take with many hardships and hazards, and then having to start all over again. Then there are the refugees fleeing war-torn countries attempting to avoid death or catastrophes. Refugees and migrants breathe new life into a country and frequently produce new and desirable societal structures.
