REFLECTION PAPER ABOUT GLOBALIZATION DOCUMENTARY.

The video topic is The Rise of Networks, A Changing Context, Market Logic, Platform Economy, and Network Empire. So first and foremost, thank you to sophisticated and futuristic technology that have enabled us to learn more and make our lives easier.

I can’t say I learnt a lot from it, but in short, the film contains a lot of information and a lot to learn about what they’ve created. As previously said, no further explanation is required. In the next statement, I will convey what I have learned and what I understand, in short, I will summarize the information from the video.

First, I read an interesting piece that stated that we are witnessing a return to nationalism as governments and countries press in on each other, as evidenced by the suspension of medical exports and the shutting of borders. Even said, situations like this can be used to promote global cooperation rather than protectionism. But, because we rely so heavily on countries like China, if their economy were to collapse, so would ours, and so on. Worse, if they become unfriendly, they would have the upper hand in terms of a trade boycott. Fundamentally, it contends that, as a result of shared networking and increased communications, the global economy and technology are becoming increasingly accessible to everybody. As the world gets more interconnected and closer together, it is said to be taking power away from established governments and organizations. It also summarizes the consequences of libertarian economics on global growth and financial markets, which have resulted in tremendous affluence in many countries, such as China, but may have also contributed to the 2008 financial catastrophe.
