Graffiti, in my opinion, is unquestionably a type of art therapy. If you look at it from a psychological standpoint, having a positive outlet to help manage stress and the daily doses of crazy that life throws at you has therapeutic benefits. It enables you to have a positive effect and express yourself in a way that is beneficial to your mind, body, and spirit. It's a secure place for them to discuss what's on their minds and how they see the world. Graffiti has a distinct beauty to it, and it allows people to express themselves through photos of people, words, or really anything they desire. Graffiti is only a minor part of what constitutes art, but it can be found practically anywhere. It is crucial to be able to freely express oneself, and this form of artwork may be wacky, bold, and entertaining while also assisting someone who is struggling to express themselves in other ways. Graffiti, as we typically see it in public, has a negative connotation and significance in society. Most people connect graffiti with an impoverished neighborhood or as a sign of gang activity. Unfortunately, there are a lot of common misunderstandings that contribute to prejudices like these. In most situations, these folks are mistaken, as I believe graffiti has therapeutic value and serves as a means for people to express themselves. Some cities have begun to sponsor graffiti contests, where artists can paint or "tag" whatever they want in a safe environment and are given the option to get compensated for their efforts. This also gives artists, many of whom are adolescents, a sense of success and allows them to express themselves via art. Many people's self-esteem can benefit from this community outreach. This is also a good technique to keep the graffiti in one place rather than all over the neighborhood. Graffiti is a method of self-expression that should be considered art therapy because it allows the artist to express their emotions through their work. Whereas some painters obtain this therapeutic release by painting their feelings on a wall or in the open air, graffiti artists achieve it by painting their emotions on a wall or in the open air....
